Caution - tactics used  by  Misleading Casino Party Companies

Unfortunately we now have some misleading casino party companies who want to take your money and make you believe they are doing the event.  Nothing could be further from the truth !

Many years ago we had honest, reputable companies, whose promise actually had value, but now there only a few left - it’s no wonder we have the Enron and financial scandals because of people who could sweet talk a snake into doing something.  For your own protection, take caution and understand just a few important points that will help you - We want you to have a great party, with very good quality equipment, and a great price.  If you don’t get those 3 things, you didn’t heed this advice.

1.  The Owners of the companies - Most of the companies know each other, in fact many of the owners started out as dealers with other companies and then decided to start their own business.  I believe that is a good thing because it provides competition and lowers the price.  Unfortunately some of the companies in an effort to get you business will say bad things about other companies.  

     A)  Cards or Dice is an independent company.  We are not affiliated with anyone, but we did start out as a

           dealer for another company until it was time to start our own company, in fact we build the casino

           tables for other companies.

     B)  Never trust a business that needs to resort to the tactics of saying bad things.  Any person resorting to

           these types of unprofessional tactics and lack of social responsibility does not deserve to be in

           business  

     C)  At Cards or Dice we believe there still good companies out there and we will never say anything bad

           about another company or person - it’s just unacceptable behaviour used by insecure people!  

            What we will do for you is tell you the other companies that we consider reputable, and encourage

            you to call them and see what they can do for you.

            Why would we do something like that?  Because we want you to have a great party, with great

            equipment, at a great price.  If another company has a better price, good for you.  

2.  Price Quotes - We have local companies and far away companies.  Common sense should indicate the local company will charge less since the far away company needs to travel a greater distance.  There is nothing wrong with hiring a far away company, but let us teach you the tricks the deceptive companies are doing to you.

    A)  Let’s assume you get price quotes for $800, $850, $900, $1200, and $1400 for the same party.

              1)  The 3 lower quotes are the local companies, who will do a great job for you, you only need to

                     pick the company you feel most comfortable with.

              2)  The 2 higher quotes are from companies willing to mislead & deceive you.  

                     How are they  deceiving you?  They are not going to do the event - they are subcontracting to

                     one of the local companies that gave you the lower quote!

                     Does it make sense you got 3 quotes in the same range and 2 others much higher?  No !!!

                     What these companies do is take your money, subcontract to a local company, put the business

                     cards from the company you hired on the tables, and you never knew what happened, but you

                     just got taken, just like all the people in the current financial scandals !!!

3.  Who is the casino company doing your event?  Now we are going to give you the knowledge to help protect you!   Every casino company puts their name or a code on the underside of each table.  For example a fictitious company called “Bob’s Casino Parties”  may have the name or a code such as “B, BCP” etc under the table.  Would it make any sense if you looked under the table and saw a code like “QST”?  Of course it wouldn’t, and the company you hired subcontracted the event to a local company and that is why you see a code that does not make any sense!

4.  The best protection you can get - have the casino company put in their contract that they will not subcontract the job to any other company.  You may be required to send a deposit of 50 percent to secure the date, but if you can see they mislead you and subcontracted the job, then you can refuse to pay the balance because the company engaged in consumer fraud.  What is consumer fraud?  We are not lawyers, but basically it boils down to you had to rely on their expertise and their promises, and if they mislead you, then you could be entitled to triple the damages (the cost of the event).
